Secret Special Guests
Bank Holiday Sunday 28th August
Enigmatic masked DJ/producer Marshmello makes groove-oriented, synth- and bass-heavy electronic dance music. In the spirit of other masked DJs like Deadmau5 and Daft Punk, Marshmello (whose real identity remains a mystery) appears wearing a full-head-covering marshmallow mask. Despite the anonymity, Marshmello's career blew up in 2015 when he began releasing tracks online, including remixes of Zedd's "Beautiful Now," Jack Ü's "Where Are U Now," and others. From there came shows at New York's Pier 94, Pomona California's HARD Day of the Dead Festival, and Miami Music Week. In 2016, Marshmello released a compilation of his previously released tracks, Joytime, which reached number one on iTunes' top electronic albums chart.
Secret Special Guests -
Marshmello is notorious for bringing along his friends to his shows. With the supprise guests turning up on the night it will be an event to go down in Leeds folk law!
The nom de plume of David Lee Crow, DJ, producer, and general EDM enthusiast Ghastly specializes in a provocative blend of house, trap, and dubstep that invokes names like Dillon Francis, Borgore, Zomboy, and Skrillex. Raised on a goat farm in Arizona, Crow initially flirted with metal before finding his muse in the pulsating lights and soul-shaking bass of electronic dance music. After relocating to Venice Beach and living out of his van West Coast hobo style, Crow found work (as well as his stage name) as Bassrush Resident DJ at Exchange L.A., while also securing a bevy of singles on labels such as OWSLA, Buygore, and Dim Mak, including "Miami Connection" with Jauz and "Crank It" with Mija & Lil Jon.
